MLK Day Service Projects Kick Off in Narberth, Bala Cynwyd

Belmont Hills Elementary students and Cynwyd Heritage Trail enthusiasts get to work.

Public service has in recent years become a larger component of the Martin Luther King Day holiday, observed today.

At Narberth's borough government headquarters, students and staff will be spending the morning collecting donated winter coats, writing Valentine's Day cards for seniors and assembling meals for the Narberth Community Food Bank, among other activities.

at the Barmouth trailhead of the from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and all are welcome. The work site is at the east end of Levering Mill Road, just past Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd. Volunteers did and 2010, too.
