What You Need to Know This Summer in the Lower Merion School District

Summer school begins next week, and there are required math packets and required reading for all current and incoming high school students.

Lower Merion School District's summer school begins June 27, a week from today, and runs through Friday, Aug. 5.

Students and parents can access summer school room assignments when they are posted at Harriton High School by Sunday, June 26, or within the building the first day of classes. 

Students should bring a binder and a pen or pencil with them on the first day, according to an announcement on the district’s website.

The summer school shuttle will pick students up at 7:30 a.m. on the Lower Merion High School side of Montgomery Avenue. Buses will leave Harriton High School at 12:35 p.m. and return students to Lower Merion High School. Students should wait near the security structure by Montgomery Avenue, which is a change from last year, according to a district announcement

Summer Math 

Students entering grades 9 through 12 must complete math packets to review concepts from the previous school year. Packets for Harriton High School can be downloaded here

Summer Reading

There is required summer reading for all students entering grades 9 through 12, with different requirements for 11th and 12th graders taking AP or IB classes.
