Aces Beat Abington, Advance to Friday's District Final

Lower Merion's boys' basketball team beat Abington, 68-54, Tuesday night at Temple University to advance to its first District 1 title game since 2006, reported the team booster website AcesHoops.com.
At 9 p.m. Friday at Villanova, the second-seeded Aces will play top-seeded Chester, which beat No. 5 Wissahickon in the other semifinal.
Win or lose, both teams will then advance to the state playoffs.
