Lower Merion Aces Championship Parade to be Held Sunday

The boys basketball team will be honored April 14 for their state championship victory.

A championship parade and community celebration will be held Sunday, April 14 to honor the Lower Merion Aces for their state basketball championship win over Chester last month.

The parade begins at 1 p.m. Sunday at Suburban Square's Anderson Avenue parking lot, and will proceed to Lower Merion High School for a ceremony, rally, video highlights, a barbeque and contests, according to Aces Hoops

The Lower Merion Aces championship parade and community celebration will be held Sunday, April 14, beginning at 1 PM from the Anderson Avenue parking lot in Suburban Square.

The procession will wind through Suburban Square, heading east on Coulter, left onto Llanfair and right onto Montgomery Ave. before arriving at LMHS.

The parade will conclude with a ceremony, rally and video highlights presentation in the Bryant Gymnasium. A bar-b-que and other activities will be held following the ceremony, including contests to win team prizes and an opportunity to take photographs with members of the team and championship trophy. A variety of commemorative items will be available for purchase, including t-shirts and posters.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and set up along the parade route - Montgomery Ave. between Anderson Ave. and Owen Road will be closed during the procession.
