Flash Flood Warning For Wednesday Night in Philadelphia, Montco

The 5:09 p.m. alert from the National Weather Service is in effect through 9:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Wednesday evening throughout Philadelphia and southeastern Montgomery County.

The alert, issued at 5:09 p.m., was to be in effect through 9:15 p.m. The NWS suggested that one to two inches of rain could fall in that period after rain in the region earlier in the evening.

Residents and motorists were being asked to take precautions and to call the weather service at 877-633-6772 to report any flooding, hail or wind damage they see.
