Narberth Pizza Grand Re-Opening and More Ahead This Week

Happy Monday. Here's a look at the week ahead.

Below is a quick preview of what's ahead in Lower Merion Township and Narberth this coming week. If we missed anything, which is a distinct possibility, let us know in the comments below.

  • The Lower Merion Zoning and Hearing Board is meeting on Monday night, to review a case that was appealed by Federal Realty Investment Trust. The meeting is a continuation of July 11 hearing. For more information, see the agenda here
  • The annual "National Night Out" community festival is coming to Ardmore on Tuesday. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the west parking lot of Suburban Square, live music, food, rides, carnival games, face painters, and more will be available to attendees courtesy of the Lower Merion Community Watch and the National Association of Town Watch.
  • Carrying a tune is like carrying piano: it's a lot easier when you have help. On Tuesday night the Bryn Mawr Film Institute is hosting a sing-a-long to Funny Girl, Barbara Streisand's first big screen role. The show starts at 7 p.m., and free popcorn goes to anyone who shows up in costume.
  • Wondering what coaching wunderkind Chip Kelly will do with the Eagles this season? Wonder no more. On Wednesday at 6 p.m., Mark Salveit, author of The Tao of Chip Kelly, will visit Main Point Books in Bryn Mawr to talk birds. See you there.
  • On Sunday, Narberth Pizza, located at 940 Montgomery Avenue, is hosting a grand re-opening party and customer appreciation day. Here's the deal: from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., slices of pizza are free, full pies are $7, and free T-shirts will be gifted to the first 50 guests.
