Established in 1915, Cynwyd Elementary School was one of the first schools founded in the Lower Merion School District. This school is for children in grades K through 5. The regular school day is 9:05 AMto 3:35 PM. There are two kindergarten classes, one AM one PM, during the school day. Cynwyd is equipped with a multi-purpose gym, specialized learning classrooms, a library/media center and numerous play areas. This school is handicapped accessible. This is a public school with nearly 500 students and 70 staff members dedicated to providing enriched learning for students in the community.
