BE WARNED!!! Living Social. PHILADELPHIA INSTITUTE OF COSMETIC SURGERY: Dr. Zaki Ftaiha Purchased 3 underarm laser hair removal sessions with Living Social. The equipment used along with the person using it (Donna Palombo) caused the worst, most painful experience I have ever had during laser hair removal. I have had it done 6 times prior without issue of any kind. This experience was not only incredibly painful, but left open, bloody wounds under my arms. She actually had me hold a hose to blow cold air on the area to make the pain less. Not used or needed in my prior laser procedures, nor did it work to relieve the pain. To this day, month’s later; I still have a scar from one of the wounds. I decided to complain to the office and ask for my money back, having paid for 2 more sessions as I would not under any circumstance put myself through that torture again. I called repeatedly for days and the office never answered the phone. They had an answering service that fielded all the calls and then upon learning of a complaint never called me back. I had to write 3 letters requesting the balance of services not used to be refunded; all of which were never responded to in writing. Another circle of non-answered calls ensued. I cannot imagine I am the only person having had this experience with them. Please warn everyone you know about this scam place.
