My wife and I have lived in LM Twp. since 1978. We are 3 blocks from the Pub. We have been going there since it opened. I think that was maybe 15 years ago. We also have tried many other pubs in the LM area. I won't name them but they are in Narberth, Ardmore, and Bryn Mawr. They are good, but the Penn Valley Pub is better when it come to the food served and the prices for that food.It is a more delicate and creative cuisine thatn most pubs. Restaurant reviews are not my forte, so I'll just say this. Try the crab cakes, the broiled grouper, the rack of lamb, or a burger. You'll be happy. The wait staff and bartenders are great. The chef(s) know the value of flavor. The ambience is upscale pub, and they will turn the music down if you find it too loud. Amen! Try it. You will not regret it
The Pub of Penn Valley
610-664-1901
A warm neighborly atmosphere, great wings and some of the best bartenders in the area have made the Pub of Penn Valley a local favorite since 1999. Situated on the corner of Montgomery and Gordon avenues, the brick establishment boasts outdoor patio seating along with twelve interior tables and bar seating. It is intimately sized, with décor consisting of dark wooden textures, a fully stocked bar and flat-screen televisions ideal for watching the football (or baseball) game. In addition to late night happy hour every evening, there is team trivia on Tuesday nights. The Pub has been awarded "Best Restaurant and Best Pub in Narberth" along with "Best Burger on the Main Line" by various Main Line newspapers and magazines.

I must say that the ambiance and service remain great, but I've been disappointed with the food the last two times I was there. On the most recent visit I had a Chicken Caesar Salad. The dressing was amazingly salty and the chicken so dry as to be tough and even crunchy on the edges. I mentioned this to the server and his response was, "I'm sorry you didn't like it." Since I only ate 1/4 of it, he might have offered to take it off the bill. Since he didn't, my wife took the remainder home. I left the "10% off on your next visit" card on the table. Perhaps this will convey the unlikelihood of my returning.
