Lane is a native Michigander but has become the tourist that never left after she fell in love with Philadelphia. She is a Michigan State University journalism alumna and moved to Philly -- bringing only what she could fit in her car -- in the summer of 2011 to intern at Southampton Patch. Among her many experiences are things like filming a half-hour documentary, interning at Long Island Newsday, a political news wire and a TV news station in Lansing, Mich, as well as freelancing for The Detroit News, Chestnut Hill Local and WHYY NewsWorks. She's a pretty adventurous person and loves to hang out with her Canaan Dog named Sedona, play tennis, run, go hiking and travel in her free time. Lane absolutely loves meeting new people, so be sure to say hello to her if you see her.
