Be Another Kind of Cool at Narberth 'Blues Crawl' Saturday Night

The three Haverford Avenue pubs have no-cover music starting at 9 p.m.

At 9 p.m. Saturday in Narberth, weather.com's hourly forecast predicts, it will be 88 degrees Fahrenheit outside.

In normal circumstances, that could be the hottest temperature of a noticeably balmy summer day, but given the paralyzing heat the Main Line has seen this week, it could feel like nice going-out weather by contrast.

Certainly the proprietors of Great American Pub, The Greeks and McShea's hope so, because it's time for the first Narberth Triangle Music Stroll.

Narberth's three downtown pubs are each featuring blues artists playing for no cover Saturday, beginning as early as 9 p.m.

"All three Narberth pubs have always had a fantastic working relationship," Tom Darlington, owner of Great American Pub, said in an email interview. "It merely took a two-minute conversation outside on the curbs of Narberth ... all three bars agreed to hire live music and promote the event."
