Why go: The Aces finished the season on a hot streak and landed the No. 13 seed, and a home game, in the district playoffs. A win against No. 20 seed Methacton would give Lower Merion a home game Tuesday against No. 29 Kennett or a trip to rival Upper Darby, the No. 4 seed.
Pricing: $5
2) PIAA District 1 Girls Basketball AAAA Playoff: Lower Merion vs. Great Valley
Where/when: Lower Merion High School, 1 p.m. Saturday
Why go: In 16 tries, no Central League this season managed to topple the Aces, who finished 19-3 overall and grabbed the No. 5 seed. They'll face Great Valley Saturday, and if they win, they'll host Downingtown West or Haverford Wednesday.
Pricing: $5
3) Chocolate, Candy and Cough Drops: West Laurel Hill's Confectionary Connections
Where/when: West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Belmont Avenue, 2-4 p.m. Sunday
Why go: Learn the connections of the Hershey, Breyer and Luden confection companies to this Bala Cynwyd cemetery, and taste some of the goods, too.
Pricing: $15
4) Villanova Wildcats vs. Syracuse Orange
Where/when: Wells Fargo Center, Broad Street and Pattison Avenue, Philadelphia, 7 p.m. Monday
Why go: Once again, Villanova's men's basketball team is poised to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, but a win over Big East rival Syracuse would help the Wildcats get a favorable draw in the bracket.
Pricing: $25-$40
Where/when: Milkboy Coffee, 2 E. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, 7-10 p.m. Monday
Why go: On Presidents Day, make like Bill Clinton and play your saxophone, or whichever instrument you can make jazz come out of. Or just come to listen.
