  • Why go: Ice carvers will compete on a dozen sculptures outside Manayunk businesses, and you can watch them work.

  • Why go: It's a famous (and famously challenging) spin class taught by Josh Taylor, who has done these mountain-climb simulations all over the country.

  • Why go: It's Harriton vs. Lower Merion. If you need more of a reason, these two ice hockey teams were one until this year. Not all Lower Merion-Harriton matchups are truly rivalries, but this game certainly has plenty of significance for both sides.

  • Why go: Don't just horse around on Sunday—go see this simulcast of the Paris Opera Ballet.
