Armed Robbery on Summit Lane Investigated

The incident happened July 17 in Bala Cynwyd, according to Lower Merion police records.

Lower Merion police responded to 240 calls throughout Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley the week ending July 22, down from , department records show.

  • 1 armed robbery: about 1:45 a.m. July 17 on the 100 block of Summit Lane in Bala Cynwyd
  • 3 burglaries: July 16 on the 200 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, July 17 on the 200 block of Forrest Avenue in Narberth and July 21 on the 600 block of Harvard Road in Bala Cynwyd
  • 2 DUI arrests: about 4:15 a.m. July 17 at Conshohocken State Road and Hillcrest Road in Penn Valley, and about 9 p.m. July 21 at City Avenue and Monument Road in Bala Cynwyd
  • 1 fire: July 19 on the 100 block of Highland Avenue in Bala Cynwyd
  • 1 fraud case (bad checks): July 17 on the 200 block of East City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd
  • 2 car crashes with injuries: July 19 on the 200 block of East City Avenue and July 22 at City Avenue and Monument Road in Bala Cynwyd
  • 7 car crashes with property damage
  • 8 thefts, each for more than $200
  • 1 theft of a vehicle: about 10:10 a.m. July 21 on the 200 block of Price Avenue in Narberth
