Crime Stats: Robbery, Fires and a Stolen Car

Calls to police increased slightly week to week.

Lower Merion police responded to 179 calls throughout Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley the week ending Sunday, Dec. 9, up from 169 calls the week before, department records show.

  • 5 animal incidents
  • 1 burglary: Dec. 3 on the 100 block of Montgomery Avenue in Bala Cynwyd
  • 1 disorderly conduct citation
  • 1 domestic dispute
  • 1 marijuana-possession case
  • 2 fires: an appliance fire Dec. 8 on the 100 block of Montgomery Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, and a fire Dec. 9 on the 100 block of Vassar Road in Bala Cynwyd
  • 1 credit card/ATM fraud case
  • 1 car crash with injuries: Dec. 4 at City Avenue and Conshohocken State Road
  • 12 car crashes with property damage
  • 1 armed robbery, Dec. 4 on the first block of Conshohocken State Road in Bala Cynwyd
  • 6 thefts
  • 1 stolen car, Dec. 6 from the first block of Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd
