Safe Stolen from Lee's Hoagie House, Police Say

LMPD on Monday reported the following incidents.

Lower Merion police on Monday reported the following incidents from the past week in the Narberth-Bala Cynwyd Patch coverage area:

  • Theft from building: A safe containing $1,060 was stolen from Lee's Hoagie House overnight Nov. 13-14, police said. The building had been locked but there was no sign of force. No alarm system or surveillance cameras were in place, police said. The $150 tan safe contained rolled coins and small bills.
  • Criminal mischief: Someone threw concrete chunks, sticks and other debris into a 12-inch sewer main on the first block of Mary Watersford Road in Penn Valley on Nov. 12, police said. A maintenance crew unclogged the pipe.
  • Retail theft: Two 16-year-old girls tried to steal about $400 in Lord & Taylor merchandise the evening of Nov. 12, police said. Store security stopped them as they exited. Both teens were turned over to family members.
