Mary Jo Daley, Ex-Narberth Councilwoman, Elected District 148 State Representative

The Democrat beat Republican opponent Mike Ludwig.

Mary Jo Daley, former 20-year member of Narberth Borough Council, has unofficially won the District 148 Pennsylvania House of Representatives seat being vacated by fellow Democrat Mike Gerber.

Daley won the general election Tuesday against Republican Mike Ludwig. With 90 percent of precincts reporting, Daley had garnered 58.5 percent of the vote (18,635 votes) to Ludwig's 41.5 percent (13,230 votes).

"I'm officially celebrating -- it just feels great," Daley said at a Montgomery County Democratic Committee watch party in Plymouth Meeting on Tuesday night. "There were so many people that were so helpful to me in doing this and I'm just so grateful. It was a short campaign but energetic."
