When Do Local Colleges End Fall Semesters?
Find out when students in your Lower Merion or Narberth neighborhood will be moving out for winter break — and when they'll be back.
Mid- to late December ... 'tis the season of college finals, the end of fall semesters and (some) students skipping town for a while.
In Lower Merion and Narberth, the first school to let out, Harcum College, ends its semester Friday. Five other colleges finish over the following week, including three next Friday, Dec. 21.
See below for the full list of when local colleges and universities will dismiss for the winter and resume with their spring semesters, according to their academic calendars:

- Bryn Mawr College: Finals begin Dec. 16 and end Friday, Dec. 21 at 12:30 p.m. Classes resume Tuesday, Jan. 22.
- Harcum College: The semester ends Friday, Dec. 14. Classes resume Monday, Jan. 14.
- Haverford College: Finals begin Dec. 17 and end Friday, Dec. 21 at noon. Classes resume Tuesday, Jan. 22.
- Rosemont College: Finals began Wednesday and end Saturday, Dec. 15. Classes resume Monday, Jan. 14.
- St. Joseph's University: Finals end Tuesday, Dec. 18. Intersession classes run from Wednesday, Jan. 2 through Saturday, Jan. 12. Spring classes resume Monday, Jan. 14.
- Villanova University: Finals begin Saturday and end Friday, Dec. 21. Classes resume Monday, Jan. 14.
